Giving retired K9 heroes the peaceful home they deserve.
To honor the service and needs of our retiring and/or currently retired K9s by providing these heroes with transitional training from active duty to a civilian homelife, whether it is with their former partner or a new adoptive handler. To provide grants to help cover medical and care costs to law enforcement and military handlers that retain their K9 in retirement.
We believe that every working dog deserves a peaceful and dignified retirement. We are committed to ensuring that they are never forgotten after their duty ends.
Our core services are designed to access and develop a program to meet the unique needs of each retired K9, the handler and/or their adoptive persons.
K9 EVALUATION AND INTAKE
We assess the physical and behavioral health of every K9 to create a personalized retirement plan.
ADOPTION READINESS
For those K9s that are not retired to their handler, we prepare them for placement and match them with a new adoptive partner and/or family with a carefully vetted process.
TRANSITIONAL TRAINING
Our certified trainers use specialized proven methods to desensitize, socialize and retrain K9s to live in a more peaceful environment.
EDUCATION & OUTREACH
We educate the public and agencies on the long-term needs of retired working dogs and advocate for an optimal post-service standard of care.
HANDLER SUPPORT
We help former partners prepare their home environment and lifestyle for a successful reunion with their retired K9 partner.
